One of our brain’s jobs is to keep us safe and mine is more than happy to do so by obliging in my fear.

What I learned is simple. Life isn’t meant to be perfect.

This week I can’t help but smile each time I pass by the budding daffodils on our property. It’s January. Mid-winter at our home in the mountains of North Carolina. It’s not time for daffodils.

At least that is what my brain likes to tell me.
