I’ve never been coached before. I don’t even know where to start. Can you help me?

Yes! I love introducing people to the world of coaching. All you have to do is book a consult. I’ve got you from there!  Your brain may tell you that you need to be more organized before getting coached. That you need to find the perfect month to start. That you don’t have time for a conversation. This is your brain doing what brains do - keeping you exactly where you are. It’s a trick and this is an opportunity to not believe everything you think! You are ready exactly as you are. Simply look at my calendar, book a time that works for you, show up, and I’ll walk you through the process. All you need is a quiet space and a curious mind.

But what is coaching? 

Coaching is a series of conversations with destinations. It is a space to help you think. An opportunity for you to let go of outside opinions and get really clear on what YOU want. As your coach, I will guide the conversation and help you explore your own brain to better understand what motivates you, what keeps you stuck, and help you find new solutions to move you forward towards your goals.

If you’re anything like most of the busy women I work with, you likely have at least 8,401 thoughts competing for your attention at the same time and it feels chaotic in your own mind (even if the rest of the world thinks you're cool as a cucumber). This is not a problem! Nothing has gone wrong. You are totally normal. Let’s chat and we’ll untangle those thoughts one at a time and you’ll feel as satisfied as you do when you untangle a pile of knotted up necklaces.  

Interesting, but can’t I just sort through all of this with my friends?  

Your friends and family love you and are on your side! That’s fantastic. And here’s the thing… the people that know you best expect you to think and act a certain way (the same way you always have).

Have you ever shown up to dinner wearing something “out of character” for you? Maybe you didn’t order your normal drink? Did your friends notice and comment? Probably! And even if their words were playful and kind, they likely caused you to question or defend your choices. The same is true in your conversations. Friends talk to you and give advice based on who they think you are. Based on their interpretation of you. 

As your coach, I am not tied to any version of you other than the one you truly are right now in this moment and the one you are striving to become. Because of that, in and outside of our sessions, you will build the muscles to think more freely, to be more honest with yourself, and to create and execute action plans from a clear headspace. And when operating from that space you could show up to dinner in a spacesuit and others’ reactions will only help you float higher. 

What if I don’t have time to be coached?

Oh I hear you! This was me. And then I learned that sometimes the fastest way to get somewhere is to slow down. Tired of being busy? What if the time we carve out together is exactly what you need to pause and start creating a less hectic and more intentional life?

I’m intrigued. But what if I don’t want to do all the things you suggest?

I will not be telling you what to do. My job as a coach is to be your co-pilot. You decide where we’re going. I’ll check in with you along the way to make sure you’re deciding the flight path for reasons you feel good about. If we’re veering off course, I’ll make sure we’re changing directions intentionally and not out of habit. And I’ll encourage you to find ways to enjoy the flight. Because, I don’t believe that we need to wait to feel happy, joy, peace, (whatever it is that you’re currently seeking) until we reach a final destination.

I have so many things I want to work on. My diet is a mess, I’d like to save more money, I’m working too much, my relationship with my mom is rough…

You’re in the right place! I am what’s called a life and mindset coach. My job is to help you navigate any area of your life in a way that works for you. To help you rediscover what living well is for you. Wellness for each of my clients requires something different. For some it means increasing their spiritual connection. For others it’s prioritizing their physical health. For many it’s finding a better life work balance. Bring it all to the table and together we’ll decide where to start. You’re in the right place!

I’m the expert on the coaching process. You’re the expert on you. (Truly - even if you don’t believe me yet.) The amazing thing is, no matter what we focus on first… the changes you make will impact the other areas you’re concerned about. You don’t need to know where to start. We’ll sort it out together.

I’m in! Where do I go to see you?

Excellent question. To any quiet nook of your choosing. Our calls will be by video or by phone - your choice. I set some parameters: If you call me while you’re changing a diaper or while in line at Starbucks - I’ll ask you to reschedule. Because… you deserve more than that! I give you permission right now to find an hour for yourself where you can’t be interrupted. If you think that’s impossible… this is your first challenge… brainstorm 5 ways you could make it happen and 5 reasons why carving out one hour to focus on YOU and your life is worth the effort!

What is an ELI Debrief Session?

When you sign up for an ELI Debrief you will receive a link to take the Energy Leadership Index Assessment (“The ELI”). The ELI Debrief Session is an hour and a half conversation where we take a deep dive into your Assessment results together.

What is an Energy leadership Assessment and what do the Results Show?

The ELI is an attitudinal assessment. This is not a personality assessment that reveals the typical way in which your personality type presents and engages with others. Rather, the ELI shows how you see yourself and the world currently when things are going well and when you are under stress. The ELI reveals your perspectives - the specific lenses through which you view life. It shows which perspectives are supporting you through your days and which are causing friction along the way. Why Does this Matter?

Expanding our awareness of our current perspectives allows us to see why we are showing up the way we are AND allows us to decide if we want to show up differently. Awareness gives us choices. When we better understand our reaction to stress we can learn to recognize and, if desired, modify that reaction. Having control of our reactions allows us to be at the cause rather than the effect of our life.
