Big Energy, Bigger Feelings 😤

Hey!

What’s your energy this morning—ready to take on the week, or already over it? No judgment—just notice.

Every situation can feel completely different depending on your current energy.

The levels we're exploring are like your inner playlist—always playing, quietly setting the mood. The more you notice them, the more power you have to change the station.

This work is not about changing who you are—it’s about choosing how you show up. Because even if life stays the same, you can feel totally different inside.

Let's keep going with our concert example to see how the same situation looks and feels different when you’re in a different mood.

Last week, you were in deep in your own head—blaming yourself for picking a bad spot, shrinking back, and settling for a view of the back of some guy’s neck.

Side note: If we’re going to keep talking about this guy, I think he needs a name. Let’s go with Craig.

That powerless feeling we imagined - that was Level 1 Energy.

This week? We’re in Level 2—and we are done blaming ourselves. Because now, we’re mad. It might sound a little like this:

I deserve to have a clear view of the drum solo and Craig, who landed in front of us right in the middle of it, is absolutely a problem. And ya know what, the venue should have a short person section. And Craig’s friends, they are jerks too because they should have told him how rude he was being. And don’t even get me started on my friend Jess, who dragged me up front when I knew we should’ve stayed in the back.

You get the picture. You’re fired up—and this time, it’s not your fault. Someone or something else is clearly to blame.

Level 2 is the energy of conflict and control. It’s fiery, forceful, and fueled by frustration.

Sometimes it looks like a demand to get the heck out of our way. Other times, it’s a pleasant smile while quietly wishing Craig’s pre-show burrito turns on him mid-set.

Whether you keep the anger to yourself or let it all out—it’s still Level 2.

And while I might not be painting the prettiest picture here, this energy isn’t bad. In fact, it can be incredibly useful.

Level 2 helps us stand up for ourselves, set boundaries, and walk away from situations that aren’t working. Many social justice movements were born from the fire of this exact energy. It can absolutely create change.

But if we hang out here too long, life starts to feel like a constant battle.

We forget that Craig didn’t ask to be tall—and he deserves to enjoy the show too. We forget we could just take three steps to the left instead of trying to control everything and everyone around us.

We miss the bigger picture—just like we miss the concert while stuck in our frustration.

We all get here sometimes. It isn't a problem. It's information.

This week, notice your Level 2 moments:

📌 Where are you silently seething or outwardly angry?
📌 Does the fire feel useful—or exhausting?
📌 Notice when the anger moves you forward—and when it keeps you stuck.

Tired of the fight? Next week, we trade tension for perspective. Level 3 is your sneak peek at feeling better, even when nothing else changes.

Stay tuned!
